Plant The Future: An Earth & Arbor Day Celebration for Kids

Celebrate Earth Day and Arbor Day with us in a fun, hands-on way designed just for kids! Join us for a special day of exploring, planting, and learning about the important role plants and trees play in our world.

Kids will enjoy a nursery scavenger hunt where they’ll discover different plants around the garden center and learn how they help support pollinators, wildlife, and healthy ecosystems. Then they’ll decorate their own biodegradable pot, plant a sunflower seed, and take it home to grow.

This is a relaxed, come-and-go event, so families can stop in anytime throughout the day and join the fun when it works best for them.

It’s the perfect way to celebrate the planet, spark curiosity, and grow the next generation of gardeners. 🌱

Spring Fling at Bentley Ridge Tree Farm

May 23rd | 9am - 5pm

Join us for a fun-filled day at the farm as we celebrate spring in full bloom and a fully stocked nursery! Our Spring Fling is the perfect opportunity to explore the greenhouse and nursery, learn from our knowledgeable team, and enjoy a day of family-friendly activities.

We’ll be hosting live demonstrations throughout the day, sharing practical tips and expert advice to help you garden with confidence—whether you're planting trees, caring for houseplants, or creating your own herb garden.

And to make the day even sweeter, the Totally Rolled Ice Cream truck will be on-site serving up delicious ice cream treats while you shop and explore!

Our greenhouse manager, Erin, will walk you through the basics of repotting houseplants, covering common mistakes to avoid and how to keep your plants thriving.

🌳 12:00 PM — Tree Planting Demo

Learn the proper way to plant a tree, including how to find the root flare, handle the root ball, and what products we use for long-term success.

🌱 3:00 PM — Herb Gardens Demo with Cherie

Discover how to create a beautiful and functional herb garden—perfect for cooking, enjoying fresh flavors, or even helping repel unwanted mosquitoes.
