Field Laborer

We are looking for an individual who is customer service focused, self-motivated, and enjoys getting their hands dirty. The applicant must be a strong team player who thrives in a fast-paced work environment. No previous experience is necessary. Pay rate depends on experience. This position will generally have 40+ hours a week, and weekends off, unless otherwise discussed. It is a seasonal/full-time position.

Responsibilities:

• Planting trees and shrubs
• Assisting in everyday tree farm activities
• Communicating with customers in a professional manner
• Doing miscellaneous landscaping jobs

Groundskeeper and Field Laborer

We are looking for an individual who is extremely detail-oriented, self-motivated and enjoys getting their hands dirty. Applicants must be able to complete tasks on their own. The ideal candidate will be someone who thrives in a fast-paced work environment and is able to find tasks above and beyond what is expected. The position will generally have 40+ hours a week, and weekends off, unless otherwise discussed. Pay is determined by experience and ability to meet and exceed the expectations of the aforementioned tasks. Applicants must be able to pass a background check of their driving record. Former experience is not needed, but it may be beneficial. It is a seasonal/full-time position.

• Mowing and weed-eating of residential developments: Both riding mower and push mower
• Maintenance of existing trees and shrubs

Wholesale Team Member

The Bentley Ridge Wholesale Department is looking to add another member to the team. This position will generally have 40+ hours a week, with weekends off, unless otherwise discussed. This is a seasonal/full-time position.

Job Overview:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Wholesale worker to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for pulling and preparing customer orders, ensuring the health and quality of plants, and assisting in maintaining a well-organized nursery. This is a hands-on, physical role suited for someone who enjoys working outdoors in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately pull and prepare plant orders for wholesale customers.
• Inspect plants for health and quality, ensuring they meet our high standards.
• Care for plants, including watering, pruning, and scouting for pests and diseases.
• Load and unload plants and materials onto trucks for delivery or customer pickup.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness in the hoop houses, tree rows, and farm in general.
• Operate machinery (training provided).
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the nursery team.

Qualifications:

• Experience working with plants or in a nursery setting is a plus but not required.
• MUST be responsible, punctual, and dependable and have reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in various weather conditions.
• Strong interest in plants and ability to learn quickly.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Dependable and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Passion for plants and a willingness to learn about their care and maintenance.
