The root flare (or root collar) is the area at the base of a tree where the trunk transitions from trunk and bark tissues into root system tissues. Example Photo.
Put it in the shade and keep the root ball moist. You may have to water the root ball several times a day if it is warmer out. Water the containerized item until you see water come from the base of the container.
Yes. Just be sure the chemical does not drift onto the leaves. If you are spraying around perennials or small shrubs you can make a shield to protect them.
